Sunday night we showed "Le Combat", a film in Creole about the battle between Voodoo and Christianity, in Doko. There were more than 100 people when we began the film, but the crowd more than doubled before the film was over. We showed the film a second time and everyone stayed and watched the second time, too.

haiti > This is Sister Sara. She took up our offering at Doko just a week ago, but started having some intestinal problems that day. A week later, the little church in Doko went to pray at her bedside, after services, because she was dying of dehydration, anemia, and just being too old to fight disease. Sister Sara is a Christian, but there are many sick people in Haiti who are not. When they die, they will go to a place of torment. Pray for many Haitian team members to be messengers of the Good News in Haiti.

haiti > Many people bring us their sick animals for treatment. This is a horse that someone had taken a machete to. The back is raw from the horse being too thin and the straw mat that is used rubbing on the backbone. Leonel is one of our guards and he is also a vet tech, so he used fishing line and a tapestry needle to sew this horse up. We have a request for a vet tech team, but have not had that request answered, yet. Pray that when we are able to invite teams in again, that this request will be answered.
