haiti > This man was taking a break on a bench. Selling Skim Ice is a low job - little pay - walking the streets selling frozen ice pops. When Haitians first get here, they often will start out selling Skim Ice.
haiti > Our prayer partners have seen pictures of baby Joslin for a couple of years now. She is up to 20 pounds and walking. She no longer looks like a baby who is starving to death. Thanks to your prayers, baby Joslin has a hope for a future.
haiti > This is a photo of Fre Janes and his wife getting married with their nine children standing with them. Usually the children stay at home while the parents marry, so this was unusual.
haiti > This is the leadership class making trays for the Lord's Supper in our depot (storage building).
haiti > Easter morning at Sapate II. It looks like we had a church full of only children, but all of the people who could read were on the front row, leaving children and adults who cannot read filling the rest of the church. Haitians do not sit as a family in their church services or any type of meetings, like Americans do.
haiti > This is duck, duck, goose out in front of our house for an Easter party.
haiti > This older lady asked Belton and Delores to come pray for her when they were prayerwalking the area of Kalabat [KAH-lah-bat]. She has been in bed for two years now in severe pain. Pray that God will use her faith to heal her and that she can be a light for this community that does not have a church in their area and where a Bible study is beginning.
